Garden Maintenance in Sydney
Ongoing garden maintenance for coastal and harbourside gardens – pruned, weeded, fed and presented properly, visit after visit.
Maintenance built around your garden, not a generic checklist
Gardens rarely fail all at once. They slip a little at a time — a hedge trimmed a touch too hard each visit, mulch that's thinned away to nothing, a weed that seeds out over one wet summer. A proper maintenance program is built to catch those things early, so the garden holds its shape instead of needing an expensive reset every couple of years.
Before we quote, we walk the property and note what's actually growing there: species, aspect, soil, sun and salt exposure, shade from next door, and how you use the space. From that we set a visit frequency and a task rotation, so every visit has a purpose beyond a general tidy-up.
What a typical visit looks like
Visits run in a consistent order: structural work first (hedges and shrubs that define the shape of the garden), then bed work (hand weeding, mulch checks, pest and disease spotting), then lawns (mowing, edging, trimming), then a full blow-down and green waste removal.
Because the same crew comes back each time, they learn the property — which plant sulks in wet weather, which section of lawn goes dormant first. That continuity is the real difference between a garden that's merely mowed and one that keeps improving.
Where we draw the line
We're gardeners, not landscapers — our crews spend every working day pruning, mowing and managing plant health, and that focus is what keeps the standard high. If a property needs construction work, we'll point you to a landscape contractor and pick up the ongoing care once the project wraps up.

Garden Maintenance FAQs
How often should my garden be maintained?+
Most Sydney gardens sit on a fortnightly cycle from September to April and three or four weekly over winter. Larger properties with formal hedging often justify weekly visits, while low-planting gardens can hold up well monthly. We recommend a frequency after seeing the site — under-servicing is a false economy, since catch-up visits after long gaps usually cost more than staying on schedule.
Do you bring your own tools and remove the green waste?+
Yes. Every crew arrives fully equipped and takes all green waste with them for recycling, unless you'd prefer some chipped and returned to your beds as mulch.
Can you take over a garden that has been neglected?+
Regularly. Neglected gardens usually start with a one-off restoration visit — heavy pruning, weed removal, bed re-edging, mulch replacement and a full clean-up — before joining a normal maintenance cycle. We quote the restoration separately so you can see the reset cost against the ongoing price.
Do I need to be home for the visit?+
No. Most clients give us access details and we work unsupervised, then send a short note on what was done and anything worth watching.
